hawt sunz.

my trip to florida at a glance (since my salt lake city trip notes were so god damn extensive).

saturday
  • woke up at 7:45am after a wild night in stratton at sasha's house.
  • drove (maybe a bit recklessly) back to burlington by 11am.
  • threw what i needed (forgot all my toiletries) into my suitcase within five minutes.
  • got picked up and driven to the airport at 11:15am.
  • touched down in florida around 8pm and drove to the hotel (still unshowered, hair a mess, teeth unbrushed, and body still holding a grudge against me in lieu of the night before).
sunday
  • woke up to pouring rain around 11.
  • did nothing because it was raining and florida is boring when it rains and you are stuck in a hotel with your older sister, mother and her husband.
  • went to the gym from 4ish until 5:30.
  • showered and socialized with jim's family in the suite over salad and pizza.
  • facebook'd til sleep. what an enthralling day.
monday
  • woke up to glorious sunshine around 10 and went straight to the pool with the sister.
  • snapped some pics (obv.) and werked on our taannnzz.
  • went running and to the gym and then lounged around the room once it got dark.

the long lost salt lake entry.

i am in one place for a while finally. the past three weeks i've been bopping around everywhere. i just returned from a week in florida yesterday after having gone to salt lake city just five days before. my luggage from salt lake city was unfortunately left there because of my lateness to my flight and checking baggage had already been closed so it's been rough living without a laptop charger. but here is the entry about my trip i'd almost forgotten about because, with my computer dying, i never got around to posting it.

lakes made of salt & mormonz.

so i'm on a plane right now- but i'm also in the internet. who'da thunk. i am currently flying from salt lake city to the john f. kennedy international airport in new york city where i will then connect to burlington by 11am. the past week has been a blast and has gone by way, way too quickly. you see, the reason for my travels is my best friend, shannon, who attends westminster college in the sugarhouse district of salt lake. we've been best friends for the past five years or so and you may recall my post two months ago about booking the tickets i used to come visit her.
christopher dalglish (another great friend of mine and lover of shannon's) and i stayed in burlington monday and got a ride to the airport with our pal, bo around 3pm. boarding the plane last tuesday was one of the best feelings ever. i captured as much lifey footage as possible and finally finished reading twilight (which, may i add, is AMAZING.) we flew into detroit and caught our connector just in time, landing in salt lake city around 8:45pm. just barely dodged losing my wallet and then had the happy reunion with my best friend ever.
