first weekend of february.

despite mcgregor's absense in burlington this weekend, i can happily say it was a good one. surprisingly, it started off on a thursday night which is rare for me- ever since leaving uvm that is. i had some quality girl time with emily before a few others came by and we listened to a beegee's record sped up. if i could put an mp3 of it up i would, but i have no idea how to record a record at 45speed so instead, i'll just provide you with the original song and hope that you can use your imagination (while you're at it, take a listen to the cover of how deep is your love by the bird & the bee, it's precious sounding).

the bee gee's - how deep is your love

after having some drinks to warm us up we trekked into the cold and found some fun at a house on school street which was a blast. friday however; after waking up, going to the gym and arriving at work, nausea and a fever set in- possibly from lack of sleep and etc. i was sent home a bit early and was under the weather until nine o'clock but that didn't stop me from seeing some friends from home that came to visit. chris, ian and sam came by around ten and we met up with champlain folk later on.

the night was really fun and then the lot of us, plus a few extras, ventured back to my apartment for a good night's sleep before sugarbushing in the afternoon.

saturday consisted of a groggy wake up, city market breakfast, being dropped off by my visitors at the mountain, making new friends, and cooking delicious pasta dinner with some of my favourite lovers. wesley, josh and ryan stopped in and slept on my couch that evening and we had some nice lowkey time because thursday and friday claimed all of my energy and no way was i going to freeze my ass off walking all the way across burlington to south winooski. but right meow it is a sunday night and it's time for a postwork shower, comfy clothes and lounging real hard. night kitties. xoxo. maggie.
